I picked up a flyer of togher4,Africa and would like to intruduce to you a chairty that I have been supporting a couple of their children in Kenya.

Dipokodundo aims to meet the care needs of orphaned and deprived children within its catchment area, through a process that unites people across countries, cultures and religions and adds meaning and value to their lives by:

1) enabling orphaned and deprived children to meet their basic needs and to increase their ability to participate in and benefit from their society

2) networking to increase harmony, understanding and unity among peoples of different cultures, countries and religions

3) promoting the rights and interests of the children and ensuring they acquire lifelong skills that can help them to successfully integrate in society

Hi Andy,

Thanks for your interest. I'm sorry but all our places for 2011 have gone. We had a huge amount of interest, and quite a large reserve list, so we've sadly had to disappoint quite a few applicants. Please check the Kiota or T4A websites again at the start of 2013, when we hope to be recruiting for the next festival.

All the best, Pippa, Trustee, Kiota

I am a supporter of a small local organizanition in Northern Tanzania called Resource Agency for Girls Education and Training (RAGE&T). Over the last four years with friends in Ireland where I currently work, we have helped built a hostel for secondary school girls, four classrooms and provided 14 computers for skills training. we have a stock of secondary school books donated by Irish secondary school already shipped to Tanzania. We are looking for a charity that could help build a small Library where girls can share books with the community. The cost is Euro 10,708 (approx £7,000) Can any of you charities take-up the challenge? Detail of project proposal and organization can be supplied. If you have a Team in Tanzania near Singida town or Dodoma can visit and help implement the project.

Hope to hear from you soon

I am very impressed with what you have done to transform a bare land to a productive one.
Is it possible to get information on how to farm Tilapia in another area in Tanzania?
I like the idea of keeping the fish & chickens where one depends on the other.

Welldone for showing the way in that area of the country. We need simple ideas which are effective & transformational.

mame center seeks seed money to secure the faculty that house the center, hire staff, purchase equipment and in-kind goods for the curriculum.

Convincing any foundation is the key, though no one guarantee we will get the money, i applied to a lot of org, who support art, Ethiopia & youth. We believe we have the universal responsibility to help everyone get funded, not those who already have funds. There are companies that provide, once we have the school, the question remains how or who will initial provide the seed money to start the first school process in Ethiopia. When I started, the projection budget fee was under $300, four years now.
Every year it goes up & up. Saying that your idea of Africa 4 Africa sounds great, Thanks, I am Looking forward to hear from you.

Thank you for your enquiry. We are a coalition of charities, not an actual charity ourselves. To get funding most of our members will use a mix of grant applications, fundraising events, regular donors and sale of goods. If you look on all the websites, you will get an idea of how they do it or you could contact them too. Their logos with redirection to websites can be found at the bottom of the home page.
